Distilled Lime, as opposed to the expressed version, fully captures the sweet and bold lime profile and does not contain phototoxic components. Both Key and Persian Lime can be found growing in Mexico on the East and West coast, the fruit is harvested and processed primarily for the juice/beverage industry. Some varities grow year round, while others bear fruit until early spring; the fresh fruits are first processed for juice, then essential oils are collected from the rind and processed organic matter via distillation and cold pressed extraction.
