Lemongrass has become a large contributor to the aromatherapy industry. Much like the name suggests, Lemongrass is a lemon-scented grass which is grown widely in it's native region of India in the Eastern/Southern states. Cultivators will harvest the fresh grass between June - November where localized processors distribute the fresh harvest to the spice, tea, and essential oil markets for distillation. Fresh Lemongrass essential oil has a pleasant, warm and citrusy aroma.
