Eucalyptus is a versatile ingredient with a long tradition of use in pharmaceuticals, fragrance, and aromatherapy. The aroma is fresh and camphoraceous, characteristic of the leaves of the globulus tree. The essential oil is obtained by steam distillation of the fresh leaves which are available for production for most of the calendar year.
