L-Cysteine Free Base
Cysteine is an amino acid, free base grade is the purest form. Cysteine is found in high protein foods. Cysteine was traditionally produced through a hydrolysis process from duck feather, but there are now fermentation grades available. One of the main applications for cysteine is flavour production through the maillard process. There are also technical applications, bakery and nutrition.
