Sodium Erythorbate is the sodium salt of erythorbic acid used as an antioxidant mainly in the meat industry. Non reactive while dry, but in the presence of moisture it reacts with oxygen and oxidizing agents, making it a useful antioxidant.
  • A white crystalline powder or as granules, in the dry state it is reasonably stable in air
  • In solution it deteriorates in the presence of air, trace metal, heat and light
