The biological effects of Bacopin® are well documented in traditional and scientific literature. The most important of these are the effects of the plant, whose isolated bacosides and anxiolytic effects may improve cognition and memory functions while helping with convulsive disorders. Studies show that Bacopin® may help:

• Improve memory, attention, and the ability to process visual information.
• Reduce ADHD symptoms, such as restlessness and self-control (but more large-scale human studies are needed).

When patients’ anxiety levels were assessed using the Sinha anxiety scale, the mean total anxiety level in a group evaluated during two weeks of therapy was 34.88 compared to a baseline pretreatment value of 53.22 ( p < 0.01 ). The level in a group evaluated during four weeks of therapy was 40.70 compared to 49.05 (p < 0.01).
