Geranium has a intensely sweet and floral aroma profile making it a common choice in fine fragance and aromatherapy applications. Geranium is obtained from steam distillation of the flowering tops which are collected between June - July each year for production. Compared to the Chinese origin, the Egyptian origin has a more earthy profile.
