Star Anise Oil has a strong and sweet licorice aroma characteristic of the Anise Seed. The oil is obtained from steam distillation of the dried seeds and is primarily produced in Eastern Asia as a spice. The seeds are collected for the spice and essential oil markets primarily in two seasons: March - May and November - December.
